French Academic painter William Bouguereau created this dark and yet amusing image of Dante and Virgil in Hell. A scene from Dante's Inferno, where - in the 8th Circle of hell, they watch two tricksters condemned to tear each other's flesh for eternity. A perfect image for Halloween.
